Sculpture Texture Figurines - Skulptur Tekstur Figur
Podium design and curating.
Amazing sculptures from Ida Wieth and Lars Abrahamsen. Glass, stone, iron and wood in dialogue.
The graphic work reflects upon the concept of Crooked Christmas, that takes on a new approach to Christmas. It is a way of twisting things upside down, and look at Christmas through new (crooked) glasses in a whimsical and playful manner.
- The mouthblown glass is not bright coloured, shiny and perfect - but crooked, vivid and twinkling. Christmas trees, balls and ornaments in crooked shapes, with copper and iron oxides in the glass surface that will change in expression over time. Developed in collaboration with the artist Ida Wieth
Exhibition design and idea.
1:1 scale of a typical 1970’s Danish single-family house unfolding the life of animal architecture. An exhibition about what Home Sweet Home is - for animals. How does the animal live, and how does it live in its house. Where does it like to be - where does it enjoy its afternoon coffee after a hard working day, and where it takes its nap. The centerpiece is a 1970’s plan drawing of a typical Danish single-family house in 1:1 scale marked in chalk on the floor. Making a reference to Lars Von Triers, USA - Land of Opportunities trilogy, that produced Dogville and Manderlay. The audience walk through the exhibition reading habitual measures of distinctive animals, standing in Danish modern architecture.
A 21st century amphitheatre in Ebeltoft
Idea and concept
The Island recreates a forum where modern people can acquire cultural, artistic and social experiences - also on the part of the map covered by the sea.
At The Islands' spectators there is room for about 70 people. In addition, you can sail into the platform in a canoe or kayak, and you can sit along the stage circle and splash your feet in the water.
The platform, which rethinks the roads and Ebeltoft Vig as an arena for innovative cultural meetings, can be used, for example, for art and culture, performances, sports, play, debate, communication, meetings etc.
Exhibition designer on the all embracing exhibition about the Danish adventurer Troels Kløvedal and his life with Nordkaperen. The exhibition design is an embodiment of Troels Kløvedals travels and approach to life. His way of seeing and exploring, is projected in the design. The materials, angles and shapes in the exhibition comes across as fragmented storytelling pieces that touch upon elements from his life and travels, and comes together as a whole.
Staged collectable objects, and different materials describe and define both sensibility and strength, and captures the feeling of the life aboard Nordkaperen. The exhibition made use of artists such as Hans Krull, Susan Arnild, Erik Peitersen and cinematographer Adam Morris Phillip.
The exhibition opened in The Natural History Museum Aarhus 2018 - and is openning at the M/S Søfart in 2019. See the review in the danish newspaper Politiken.
